One of the coolest parts of a trip to La Boca are the photo opportunities. From the vivid and brightly colored tin houses to the statues to the tango dancers, an afternoon in La Boca will fill your memory card with some really cool photos.
Here’s a collection of our favorite pictures from our afternoon spent in La Boca, with a few bonus videos of some very impressive tango dancers. Enjoy!
The Buildings
The Statues
The Musicians
The Tango
To complete this post, here’s a few videos we took that day, one of the tango dancers themselves, and one of the band. Forgive my commentary in the second one, but it was hot, the sun was booming, and we had several bottles of red wine.

Love the colorful photos!
Thanks for the kind comment and for stopping by. I really do appreciate it!
Beautiful images, such vivid colours! BA is high on my wishlist, more so since I saw this.
Haha, thanks Jools! BsAs is a great, great city, and I cannot say enough great things about it. I hope you're able to get there soon!
I love this! The buildings are so colorful… makes me want to go there ASAP! And I love tango dancing, so the photos and video are an added bonus! I wish I could dance like that.
Oh God, I would kill to be able to dance like that (as would my wife). The dancing was very, very impressive, sensual, and highly entertaining. We literally sat there for hours drinking wine, snacking, and just watching the tango. There really aren't many better ways to spend an afternoon, imo.
These are great pictures. It funny I am seeing this because I just saw them feature this on MAN SHOPS GLOBE a show on the Sundance Channel.
I love the color of the buildings they are so bright and beautiful. Great pics of everything!
Thanks a ton, Jaime. I'll have to keep my eye out for that show. I love watching travel shows and seeing places we've been. It's so dorky, but I always get excited to say “Look babe, we were right there!”
Gorgeous photos! They remind me of vivid paintings. Loved the statues!
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting, Corinne. I really do appreciate it!
Love these photos of 1 of my fave places in BsAs! I have an artist there that I always visit when I'm in BsAs. His work is insane!!!
That's really cool. I'll have to get the name and location the next time we visit BsAs. It's such an awesome area of a great city.
Definitely! You will want all of his work when you see it. It's
magnificent!!!

Great post – what a beautiful place!
Thanks Amy! It is a beautiful place, and we loved the day we spent there. It was quite memorable.
Awesome! I love the building shots!
Yeah, they were pretty cool. Most of the photography on this site is my wife's, so I guess I should start giving her the credit on these posts. She could have walked around for days snapping pictures of the colorful buildings.
Love these photos Adam!
Thanks guys! As always, I appreciate your support and comments!
Great shots!

Love the photos! They've been the perfect pick-me-up on a dull, cold day.
Awesome! Glad I could be of assistance.
Great job capturing the spirit of La Boca with these photos. I had a great time wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere of the area.

I love the colorful buildings. Reminds me of the Bo-Kaap District in Cape Town.
Love, Love, Love x 10 all those pictures… the colors and the tango! Why am I not in La Boca?
Great post… I'm excited to hit the streets of BA with my new camera. The last time I was there I had no camera at all…
