Picture of the Week – Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand

by Adam Seper on May 6, 2011

This week’s picture of the week comes from Franz Josef Glacier on New Zealand’s South Island.  We did an ice climbing adventure on Franz Josef, and it was a major highlight of our time spent there.  While the climbing itself was awesome, simply walking around on the glacier was amazing in itself.  The deep blue colors everywhere and ever changing unique ice formations were unbelievable.  Every time I’m flipping through pictures, this one always stands out to me.
