Iguazu Falls (in pictures)

by Adam Seper

By now I’m sure you’ve read the Iguazu Falls Tips post for all you need to know about visiting this spectacular site.  If not, what are you waiting for?  Check it out first, then head back here to see a collection of our favorite pictures, with a few videos added in for good measure.

Some places are just better left to see rather than read about, and I believe Iguazu Falls is one of those places.  I don’t think my words can do this monstrosity of a natural wonder justice.  So for once I’ll put my long-winded descriptions and posts to rest and let the images do the talking.  They are arranged by the order in which we saw them.  Enjoy!

The final three pictures, and the video, are all from the main attraction of Iguazu Falls, called Garganta del Diablo, translated into Devil’s Throat.  The sheer power and noise from these falls were extremely impressive, and we just stood and watched for well over an hour, taking it all in.

And finally, here’s a video taken from the same spot.  This will give you an idea of the enormity of the falls as I pan around and show the many different waterfalls that could be seen from this one vantage point.  Remember that this is only one part of the park.  The Circuito Trails I spoke about in the tips post show all the falls seen in the pictures at the beginning of this post, and they couldn’t be seen from Garganta del Diablo.
